Queer & Trans Affirming Therapy

A welcoming space for healing childhood wounds, understanding complex trauma, and steadily navigating anything in the way of loving all of who you are.

You've found the right place

There's a kind of exhaustion that comes from feeling something heavy you've learned to live with. You've told yourself it's fine. That other people have it harder. That you'll get free from it when things settle.

This is a place where instead of working around the pain, you will start making sense of it. You’ll be supported in finding compassion for all the parts of you, whether that's an old wound from childhood, a new side of yourself finding its way into the light, or the weight of moving through a world that’s wanted you to be functional, not fully healed.

Here, you can be just as you are. That's exactly what this work is for.

How I can help

Queer owned, queer affirming therapy

It can be hard to find support that actually meets us where we are. This is a space where identity is warmly celebrated and always respected: orientation, affiliation, attraction, expression, expansiveness, sexuality, transition. Queer identity can be the center of our work, or simply the given. You don’t have to show up performing anything.

Trauma therapy

The trauma of childhood family dysfunction, interpersonal violence, romantic partner abuse, and early life neglect tend to affect relationships of all kinds, no matter how long ago we suffered them. Our relationship with ourself suffers the most: an unsteady sense of worth, difficulty being truly at ease, having to manage old patterns that feel impossible to change. This work goes to the root of complex trauma so real, lasting healing can happen.

Somewhere to grow

This type of therapy happens in a real room, with another real person. My office is one where you can show up, kick your shoes off, and begin to find the warmth of your own, remarkable compassion.

“You yourself, more than anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”

Alex Fuller, LPC

I'm Alex (they/them), a therapist based in Denver specializing in queer affirming care and complex trauma. I came to this work through my own healing, and I’m so grateful for it. Helping people find their way back to themselves is the most important thing I can do.

Something wonderful is waiting for you on the other side of this

A free consultation is the first step. There are no forms or commitments, just a conversation to see if we’re a good fit.
